1. Client Preparation & Treatment
Service Nature: Teeth Whitening Melbourne (TWM) provides cosmetic teeth whitening services. TWM is not a dental practice, and our services are not a substitute for dental examination, diagnosis or treatment.
Dental Check-Up: We recommend that clients maintain regular dental check-ups and, where appropriate, have their teeth and oral health assessed by a dentist before undergoing cosmetic teeth whitening. If you have any concerns about your teeth, gums or oral health, or have any untreated dental issues, we recommend consulting a dentist before booking or proceeding with treatment.
Minimum Age: Clients must be at least 16 years of age to receive treatment. Clients under 18 may be required to obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Consultation & Consent: Each client must complete TWM's Consultation and Consent Form before treatment. Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding any relevant dental concerns or other information requested as part of the consultation.
Treatment Suitability: Treatments are performed by trained teeth whitening technicians. TWM reserves the right to decline, postpone or discontinue treatment where we reasonably consider the treatment unsuitable or where information disclosed during consultation indicates that treatment should not proceed. Where appropriate, we may recommend that the client seek advice from a dentist before proceeding.
Oral Hygiene: Clients should brush and floss thoroughly before the TWM team arrives.
Results: Teeth whitening results vary between individuals and depend on factors including the natural colour and condition of the teeth and the type and extent of staining. TWM does not guarantee a particular number of shades, level of whitening or individual result.
Whitening treatment affects natural tooth enamel and does not change the colour of veneers, crowns, fillings, dentures or other dental restorations.
White Diet & Aftercare: Clients should follow TWM's recommended White Diet and aftercare instructions for 48–72 hours following treatment, including avoiding strongly coloured foods, drinks and other staining agents. Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect the appearance and longevity of whitening results.
2. Bookings, Deposits & Payments
Deposit: A 25% deposit of the total booking price is required to secure your appointment and reserve the required staff, travel time and equipment. Your booking is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
Final Balance: Unless otherwise agreed, the remaining balance is payable in full on the day of treatment.
Group Bookings & Final Numbers: Final attendee numbers for group bookings must be confirmed at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.
The number of attendees recorded on the booking at the 48-hour cutoff will be treated as the final confirmed number.
Group pricing is based on the final confirmed number of attendees. If attendee numbers are reduced before the 48-hour cutoff, pricing may be recalculated based on the revised group size.
After the 48-hour cutoff, reductions in attendee numbers will not reduce the confirmed booking total.
Additional attendees may be accommodated subject to availability, staffing, treatment time and equipment capacity. Any additional amount payable will be confirmed where applicable.
Group Organiser: The person making the group booking is the primary contact for the booking and is responsible for communicating relevant booking information, requirements and appointment details to the other attendees.
Each attendee must complete their own required Consultation and Consent Form before receiving treatment.
Additional Charges: Any applicable travel, parking or other charges communicated to the client before the service is provided are payable in addition to the treatment price.
3. Client & Staff Safety
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Treatment: TWM may refuse to commence, postpone or discontinue treatment where there are reasonable health, safety, suitability or behavioural concerns.
Safe Working Environment: As TWM provides a mobile service, clients are responsible for providing a reasonably safe and suitable environment in which our team can perform the treatment.
TWM may leave the premises or decline to proceed where staff reasonably feel unsafe, threatened or unable to perform the treatment safely, including due to aggressive or inappropriate behaviour, uncontrolled pets, illegal activity or other unsafe conditions.
Where a booking cannot proceed because the client has failed to provide a reasonably safe and suitable environment, the booking may be treated as a client cancellation and the applicable cancellation terms will apply.
Site Readiness: The treatment area must be reasonably clear, clean and accessible when our team arrives.
Significant client-caused delays may result in treatment time being shortened or, where the treatment can no longer reasonably be completed, the appointment being rescheduled or cancelled.
4. Equipment & Property
TWM brings professional teeth whitening equipment and supplies to the client's nominated treatment location.
Clients are responsible for taking reasonable care to ensure that TWM equipment is not damaged by themselves, guests, children or pets.
Where TWM equipment is deliberately damaged, or damaged due to the negligence of the client or persons for whom the client is responsible, TWM may seek reimbursement for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
5. Mobile Service, Arrival, Parking & Access
Arrival Window: As TWM is a mobile service, arrival times may occasionally be affected by Melbourne traffic, weather, previous appointments or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Please allow an arrival window of up to 30 minutes from your scheduled appointment time. Where possible, we will contact you if we expect a significant delay.
Parking: Suitable and reasonably accessible parking must be available for the TWM team.
Where paid parking is required, the parking cost is the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed.
Property Access: Any access issues that may affect our ability to transport or set up equipment, including stairs, restricted access, apartment access or significant distance between parking and the treatment location, should be disclosed before the appointment.
If suitable access cannot be provided and the treatment cannot reasonably proceed, the applicable cancellation terms may apply.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellation: Deposits are used to reserve staff, travel time, appointment capacity and equipment for your booking.
If you cancel your booking and do not reschedule, the deposit is generally non-refundable, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Rescheduling With 48+ Hours' Notice: If you provide at least 48 hours' notice, your deposit may be transferred as credit toward a rescheduled appointment.
The credit must be used within 6 months of the original appointment date unless otherwise agreed by TWM.
Less Than 48 Hours' Notice: If less than 48 hours' notice is provided to cancel or reschedule, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to secure another appointment.
No-Shows: Failure to attend or be available for your scheduled appointment without prior notice will result in the deposit being forfeited. A new deposit will be required to make another booking.
TWM Cancellation: In the event that TWM needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we will contact the client as soon as reasonably possible.
Where TWM cannot provide the booked service or an acceptable alternative arrangement, an appropriate remedy will be provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
7. Promotions, Discounts, Referral Credits, Giveaways & Competitions
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers, discounts and discount codes cannot be combined.
Referral credits, promotional credits, prizes and other TWM credits are not redeemable for cash and are subject to any specific conditions communicated with the relevant offer or promotion.
Bookings made using promotional offers, referral credits, giveaway prizes or other credits remain subject to TWM's standard booking, cancellation, rescheduling, treatment and safety requirements unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where a promotion, competition or giveaway has its own specific terms and conditions, those additional terms will also apply.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms of Service is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where there is any inconsistency between these Terms of Service and a right or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law will apply.
