Before Your Appointment

Before your appointment, we recommend brushing your teeth around an hour beforehand and avoiding dark-coloured food or drinks for a couple of hours before your treatment - things like coffee, tea, red wine, or anything likely to stain.

It's also a good idea to have a proper meal beforehand. The last thing you want is to be sitting through your appointment hungry, especially as you won't be able to eat for two to three hours after your treatment.

After Your Appointment

Now listen up — this is the most crucial part.

After your treatment, your teeth are porous, which means any staining food or drinks you consume in the next 24 to 48 hours will go straight back in. So for those first two days, we follow a white diet — stick to white or light coloured foods and drinks like water, chicken, rice, pasta, and plain dairy. Avoid coffee, tea, red wine, dark sauces, soft drink, and anything with a strong colour.

After that, you're good to go back to your normal daily habits.

Results typically last between six to eight months. Most of our clients come back to see us once a year to keep on top of it.

If you're a daily coffee drinker, here's a simple tip that makes a big difference - after every coffee, have a glass of water. It rinses the staining off your teeth and helps keep them lighter for longer.
